Thoroughly Equipped

2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

I knew I would need to go back into full-time teaching for the next school year. I came up with some ideas of what I could do, but also knew the possibility of receiving a call could come up. A few weeks ago I did get a call. I needed to decide if I needed to accept or choose one of the other options I had. The tough thing is when there isn’t a wrong option. Sometimes it is hard to know what is best. But there is comfort in knowing that no matter what I do, if I’m sharing God’s word, I’m thoroughly equipped because his word is full of power.

I will be teaching 1st Grade in Milwaukee, WI! Many pieces fit well with my abilities and what I have studied, though 1st grade is new for me. I am not worried, however, since a call comes from the Holy Spirit, I know that God will make sure I am equipped for this position.

We won’t need to be there until July, but since I’m not teaching full time, I’ll have a great opportunity to start thinking about things now and hopefully be super prepared. We are excited for this opportunity. Lord-willing, for the first time in my life, I can teach the same thing 2 years in a row. How great to not have to start over year after year as the past few have been.

Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts while be deliberated and continue to pray for us in our transition and that we are able to share the good new of Jesus with the students in Milwaukee.

Hebrews 13:20-22 “Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.”
